"The Nuts n Bolts of Affordable Housing-Finance , Form + Tenure -A TOD Mini-Charrette" (click)
Process included:
-Invitation by a member of a community task group for the City of Vancouver's False Creek South Planning Project
-Demonstration charrette for unused land, bounded by Alder Crossing, Lamey's Mill Road, Laurel and 6th Avenue, by the rail tracks.
-Each table had a a non-profit housing proforma cruncher, using a stripped down proforma, and an urban designer to integrate the ideas + designs into the overall neighbouhood so as to be indistinguishable
-Saturday afternoon event
-6-7 full tables of community members
-Pin up presentations by community members with concept massing, floors, heights and density, entries, mixed uses and urban design moves for "sense of place"
